Bergen Sydvestkoret

In May 2006 in Banchory Town Hall we performed with 40 members of Norwegian choir Sydvestkoret in our Spring concert.  They spent several days with members of the choir, and enjoyed a traditional ceilidh as well as sightseeing trips in and around the area.  The choirs are pictured rehearsing for the concert.

The audience was treated to a varied programme of music including the Tequila Samba, Buffalo Gals and Varen by Greig and the Zula song Siyahamba performed by Banchory Singers and Cearcol A’Chuain by a quartet of male Norwegian voices singing in Gaelic.
